Medicap Pharmacy in Urbandale has introduced a self-service prescription kiosk on Douglas Avenue, providing customers with 24-hour access to their medications and eliminating the need to wait in line, according to a KCCI report.
Pharmacy officials indicate that the kiosk offers a convenient alternative for individuals with demanding schedules or late work hours. «Some patients don’t necessarily want to wait in line for a refill,» Rachel Renfrow, Medicap’s vice president of operations, told the news outlet. «And so it just gives them a chance to pop in, grab their prescription from the kiosk, and leave the times where they come in to the pharmacy and talk to the team for the prescriptions, where they need to spend that extra one-on-one time with the pharmacist.»
Medicap also recently opened a similar self-service kiosk in Norwalk, located on Sunset Drive.
