Celerant Technology, a provider of retail software and eCommerce solutions, has released version 2.8.2, a significant update designed to enhance point-of-sale performance and introduce new functionalities for retailers. The update applies to both Celerant’s Cumulus Retail and Stratus Enterprise platforms, according to a press release.

The core of version 2.8.2 lies in extensive system refactoring within the point-of-sale software, aiming to improve data handling, transaction processing and overall system stability. This comprehensive rebuild is intended to eliminate data corruption risks and optimize performance, leading to faster startup times and increased reliability for daily retail operations.

Beyond performance enhancements, the update brings a suite of new features across both Cumulus and Stratus platforms. These include enhanced integrations with Smartwaiver and Astro, flexible product-level field customization, improved purchase order search functionality, expanded customer order status options and additional filtering for training class management. Stratus users will also benefit from advanced features such as referral prompts on receipts, the ability to attach artwork to sales orders, enhanced analytics and flexible consignment payout percentage overrides.

«Our version 2.8.2 update tackles the operational challenges that retailers face daily,» Ian Goldman, president and CEO of Celerant, said in the release. «We’ve fundamentally rebuilt core components of our system while simultaneously delivering powerful new features that our clients have been requesting.»

Celerant has provided training materials and support resources to assist users in maximizing the benefits of this latest software release.
