International Game Technology PLC and Boyd Gaming Corporation have signed a three-year agreement to continue powering Boyd Gaming’s retail and mobile sports betting operations in Nevada, according to a press release. The deal ensures that IGT’s PlaySports platform will remain the core technology for Boyd Gaming’s sportsbooks in the state through August 2028.
The partnership, which began in 2018, allows Boyd Gaming to continue utilizing IGT’s technology, including PlaySports Kiosks, at its ten retail sports betting locations across Nevada.
«As the core technology of our sports betting offering in Nevada, IGT PlaySports’ platform enables us to evolve Boyd Sports in ways that deliver incremental value to our players and seamlessly scale our offering to address new business opportunities,» Bob Scucci, vice president of race and sports operations for Boyd Gaming, said in the release.
The agreement solidifies the long-standing relationship between the two companies. IGT’s PlaySports technology also supports Boyd Gaming’s retail sportsbooks in several other states, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Ohio.
