For the second time this week, a computer system failure at Canada Border Services Agency kiosks led to delays for travelers at the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, according to a CTV News report.

An airport spokesperson informed CTV News of a «national outage» affecting the primary inspection kiosks on Thursday evening, resulting in slower border control procedures across Canadian airports. The outage began around 3 p.m. and was resolved at approximately 7:30 p.m.

During the disruption, customs agents were required to process passengers manually. The airport stated that it would be initiating discussions with CBSA to seek explanations for the repeated outages.

A similar computer issue with the kiosks occurred on Monday, causing significant lineups and travel disruptions at the same airport. Additionally, two weeks prior, the airport experienced connectivity problems with several computer systems, which led to slowdowns at check-in and security.
