Big Digital launches golf division, powers engagement at The Players Championship

Big Digital, a company specializing in immersive experiences, has launched Big Digital Golf, according to a press release. This dedicated division will focus on providing technology to enhance engagement between golf courses, clubhouses, tournaments and golfers and fans. The announcement follows Big Digital’s involvement with the DP World Tour and the Ryder Cup.

Big Digital’s technology, including portable and weather-rated digital kiosks, was recently utilized at The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. These kiosks provided attendees with real-time leaderboards, tee times, wayfinding and interactive content. The company has also established partnerships with the Founders Group and is piloting a program with the National Golf Course Owners Association of America. PGA of America President Don Rea has joined Big Digital’s advisory team.

Big Digital Golf aims to roll out its interactive platform across the PGA of America and PGA Tour ecosystem, offering solutions for course operators, tournament organizers and sponsors to leverage digital engagement.
