The Chester County Justice Center and two Magisterial District Courts have launched interactive, AI-powered information kiosks, making Chester County the first in Pennsylvania to implement this technology, according to a Chester County report. The touchscreen and voice-activated kiosks provide access to court forms, courtroom locations, fine and bail payment options, and video links to various county departments and community organizations, including the Chester County Human Needs Network.
«Technological advances continue to provide opportunities for the courts to communicate more effectively and meaningfully with more people. Artificial intelligence — AI — is the latest example, and we intend to use its capabilities to our benefit,» Ann Marie Wheatcraft, Chester County president judge, told the news outlet.
Currently available in English, Spanish translation is planned for the near future. The kiosks are located in the Justice Center lobby, Court Administration Office, Family Court and the Kennett Square and Phoenixville Magisterial District Courts, with future installations planned for local libraries.
