Digital signage part of speed tracking effort in South Carolina

The Town of Kiawah in South Carolina is using portable digital signage as part of its effort to reduce vehicle speed.

Speed projection signs and speed tracking equipment are also in play by the public works department, according to a Live 5 News report.

The portable digital signage, projection signs and tracking devices, which all work on solar power, will be installed along Kiawah Island Parkway and Beachwalker Drive to help reduce car speed. Current data revealed most drivers are going 10 to 20 miles over the allowable speed limit.
