Cree LED, a Penguin Solutions brand, has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against NanoLumens, Inc.
The lawsuit claims NanoLumens has infringed Cree LED’s rights in the following patents by selling certain display products: U.S. Patent Nos. US8049230, US9054257, US9831393, US7718991, US9240395 and USD691100, according to a press release
Cree LED actively monitors the global market to identify unauthorized use of its patented technologies.
«Protecting our intellectual property is essential to sustaining innovation and ensuring a level playing field,» Jesse Reiherzer, vice president of Cree LED’s High Bright business, said in the release. «We will continue to take decisive action to defend our patents and uphold the integrity of our technology.»
