Chinese electric vehicle maker XPeng and Volkswagen have expanded their partnership to improve EV charging infrastructure in China, according to a report by The Standard. The companies will open their existing fast-charging networks to each other’s customers and explore building new, jointly branded ultra-fast charging stations.
This move aims to enhance the convenience and accessibility of electric vehicles for consumers in the Chinese market. This collaboration follows their 2023 partnership, where Volkswagen acquired a stake in XPeng and the two companies agreed to jointly develop new EV models.
