The Mobile County Health Department’s Overdose Prevention Program in Mobile, Alabama has installed several healthcare kiosks across the county, according to a NBC 15 report.
The kiosks provide community health products such as naloxone kits and condoms. There are five kiosks throughout the county to increase access to these resources and reduce infectious disease spread.
«This initiative aims to reduce infectious disease spread, prevent overdose deaths, and provide free access to support services,» Danielle Simpson, supervisor of MCHD’s team, told the news outlet. «We’re excited to bring this valuable resource to our community, and we appreciate our community partners for helping us launch this project.»
