The Tourism Association of Sexten, in Italy, and eyefactive have debuted a digital tourism experience featuring a 118-inch multitouch video wall featuring eyefactive’s touchscreen software platform that visitors can use to discover the region in an intuitive and multilingual way.
The themed content, which adapts to each season, enhances user engagement and accessibility, according to a press release.
The digital signage installation is powered by eyefactive’s MultiTouch App Store and offers 3D maps and interactive timelines.
Upon approaching the screen, users are greeted by a vibrant panoramic menu that invites exploration. Visitors can dive into themed content based on the seasons, including videos, images, and text that bring the natural beauty and cultural richness of Sexten to life.
One of the standout features is the intuitive drag-and-drop function: for example, dragging a skier icon onto a slope reveals detailed activity information. Visitors can explore history through the Matrix View: an animated gallery of regional personalities and biographies. The interactive timeline allows users to swipe through Sexten’s past milestones, and a 3D Model View enables them to rotate and zoom through the local landscape and hiking trails.
Interactive quizzes add a playful learning aspect with real-time feedback, while video puzzles offer hybrid interaction between smartphones and the touchscreen, combining local storytelling with gamification.
