Planar has debuted the DirectLight Essential Series, a line of fine pixel pitch LED videos walls featuring high-quality chip-on-board technology.
The LED video wall is a new category of LED technology to the flagship Planar DirectLight portfolio, according to a press release.
The Planar DirectLight Essential Series offers 27-inch cabinets available in 0.7, 0.9, 1.2 and 1.5 millimeter pixel pitches and presents deeper blacks and sharper visuals with a 30,000:1 contrast ratio and high refresh rate of 3,840Hz. It is compatible with both the Planar WallDirector Video Controller and LED controllers from ColorLight.
«We’re very proud to add COB technology to the Planar DirectLight family of leading-edge LED solutions for the first time,» Robert Detwiler, senior director of product management at Planar, said in the release. «This significant addition provides our customers with the benefit of COB with lower cost, added durability and vibrant imagery, while also stepping up the performance to be a next-level COB that delivers improved visuals and brightness to power performance to further diversify the flagship Planar DirectLight family.»
The LED video walls also support remote monitoring with the industry-leading Planar WallDirector Cloud web-based monitoring application.
