A Clarion, Pennsylvania woman has been charged with felony retail theft after allegedly stealing over $1,400 worth of merchandise from the Clarion Walmart in Monroe Township, Pennsylvania on two separate occasions in October 2024, according to an Explore Clarion report.
Kaleena Michelle Kuhn, 24, is accused of using self-checkout registers to facilitate the thefts, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Store asset protection personnel reportedly identified Kuhn through pharmacy records when she filled a prescription at the store.
Surveillance footage from October 17 and October 22, 2024, allegedly shows Kuhn and an unidentified female accomplice concealing items in their cart. At the self-checkout, they purportedly positioned themselves to obstruct security cameras and paid for only a small portion of their merchandise, approximately $20, before exiting the store.
Store officials reported losses of $752.98 from the October 17 incident and $720.56 from the October 22 incident, totaling $1,473.54 in stolen goods.
The criminal complaint, filed by Trooper Nathan Lash, states police made multiple unsuccessful attempts to locate and interview Kuhn before filing the charges. The charges were filed in Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller’s office.
