Looking Glass, a light field display technology company, has debuted the Looking Glass 27-inch display, its most powerful 3D display to date.
The display offers 5k resolution and can be powered directly off an iPad, which provides a smaller footprint and lower operational cost, according to a press release.
«This is a breakthrough moment for 3D,» Shawn Frayne, CEO and co-founder of Looking Glass, said in the release. «With the new 27-inch display, we’ve combined major hardware and software advances to cut system costs and dramatically reduce compute requirements. It’s never been easier for developers and enterprises to build, test, and then deploy applications for their audiences in 3D.»
The display projects 45 to 100 perspectives simultaneously which creates seamless 3D within a 53° view cone, so groups can experience 3D together.
