Lock America has announced the passing of its co-Founder and CEO, Frank Minnella.
Minnella, who founded the security lock company in 1981 with his partner Steve Shiao, is remembered as a bold and engaging leader, according to the press release.
Together, Minnella and Shiao pioneered numerous innovative and patented security products for various industries, including self-storage (notably the Enforcer cylinder lock system), ATM, petroleum and propane marketing (including the Fill Valve Lock), information destruction and vending.
Known for his dedication to solving customer security challenges and his strong engagement with people, Minnella fostered a close-knit team at Lock America. The company stated its commitment to continuing his legacy. Minnella is survived by his wife Betty and his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those wishing to honor his memory make a contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
