Collins Aerospace has introduced the latest advancements to its SelfServ platform, a kiosk integrating both check-in and bag drop functionalities, at Passenger Terminal Expo 2025, according to a Regional Gateway report.

The company aims to improve passenger flow through technology and automation, with the kiosk also compatible with its SelfPass biometric solutions for seamless processing.

«As air travel continues to surge, the only sustainable way forward is through smart technology. We’re proud to debut our latest self-service kiosk and baggage application at PTE,» Rakan Khaled, general manager of airport solutions at Collins Aerospace, told the news outlet

The kiosk features biometric technology, a customizable design, a self-sanitizing screen and an embedded AI chip for predictive hardware maintenance. It is also being developed to meet CUSS 2.0 standards for shared airline infrastructure. The enhanced kiosk aims to reduce the check-in and bag-tagging process to under 20 seconds. While no specific customers were named, the enhanced kiosk is expected to be deployed in airports within the next four months.
