Pantheon Lab has unveiled its updated Metahuman Interface, featuring enhanced emotional intelligence capabilities. The technology aims to create more natural and empathetic interactions between humans and machines, according to a press release.
The MHI builds upon Pantheon Lab’s existing digital human technology, now incorporating real-time emotion detection, interpretation and response. This allows digital humans to understand and react to user emotions, enabling more personalized and engaging experiences. The company demonstrates use cases such as a digital human proactively sensing patient concerns and autonomously scheduling appointments within healthcare settings.
The MHI transforms traditional touchpoints, such as kiosks, into voice-enabled interfaces with human-like empathy. Pantheon Lab is showcasing live demonstrations of its emotionally intelligent digital humans at NVIDIA GTC 2025, held from March 18 to 21 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.
Pantheon Lab’s goal is to integrate Agentic AI, which enables autonomous, goal-driven actions, into everyday life. By combining AI, Large Language Models and emotional intelligence, the company aims to deliver personalized interactions across various sectors, including retail, healthcare, education and public services.
«We’re committed to advancing human-machine interaction by making it not only functional but also emotionally intelligent and deeply human,» Ivan Lau, co-founder & CEO of Pantheon Lab, said in the press release.
«The Metahuman Interface represents a significant step forward in our journey to integrate Agentic AI into everyday life, empowering businesses to connect with people on a deeper meaningful level. As part of our ‘AI for Good’ initiative, we focus on creating AI solutions that are ethical, inclusive, and transformative — enhancing industries from customer service and education to healthcare and public services, ensuring technology works for humanity.»
Key features of the updated MHI include:
- Real-time emotional intelligence.
- Voice-driven interface.
- Human-like appearance and behavior.
- Scalability across industries.
Pantheon Lab’s existing clientele includes Toyota, KFC Taiwan, Hong Kong Airport Authority, SBS Transit (Singapore) and National Gallery Singapore.
