Discover Kalamazoo has installed new interactive kiosks and launched a mobile app to provide visitors with real-time information on community offerings, according to an M Live report. The kiosks are located at Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, downtown Kalamazoo and the WMU Student Center, with a mobile kiosk for events. The kiosks and app offer information on attractions, events, dining, shopping and accommodations, allowing users to create personalized itineraries.
«Placing kiosks in some of the most highly-visited areas of our county and providing a mobile app gives visitors better access to discover all that Kalamazoo County has to offer,» Reed Benton, Discover Kalamazoo director of operations and destination services, told the news outlet.
The tools utilize geo-location to show nearby businesses and events, and itineraries can be sent via email or to the app. The app also features interactive maps, accessibility information and exclusive deals from local businesses. The Discover Kalamazoo app is available for free on iOS and Android devices.
