Arya Gurukul, a Central Board of Secondary Education school in Kalyan, India, has become the first school in Maharashtra to receive an AI-powered health screening kiosk under the CBSE’s hybrid school scheme. The «Prophylaxis» machine can conduct over 60 health tests, including blood pressure, sugar levels and respiratory function, according to an APAC News Network report.
«As part of the school’s commitment to preventative healthcare and aligning with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of ensuring healthcare for all, we are proud to introduce Prophylaxis, an integrated smart diagnostic tool, the first of its kind in Maharashtra,» Bharat Malik, chairman of the school, told the news outlet.
This initiative aims to promote early disease detection and improve student health outcomes. The school plans to extend the use of the kiosk to teachers and staff in the future.
