Osprey Charging, a UK electric vehicle charging network operator, has opened its largest Welsh hub at Glamorgan Vale Retail Park, according to a report by The Energyst. The location features 16 charging bays with universal compatibility, offering drivers easy payment options.
This expansion follows recent openings in Cardiff and Holywell, bringing the total number of Osprey’s rapid and ultra-rapid chargers in Wales to over 100 in 2024 alone. With over 1,200 charging bays across the UK, Osprey boasts a 99% uptime rate.
Ian Johnston, Osprey CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment to making EV charging accessible for all drivers across Great Britain. «Our goal is to make EV charging available and dependable for every driver, wherever they live and travel in Great Britain,» Johnston told the news outlet. «Opening our largest hub in Wales at Glamorgan Vale Retail Park is a major step forward in achieving that vision, and we’re proud to be one of the driving forces behind Wales’s EV transition.»
