The Illinois Secretary of State’s office has unveiled a renovated DMV facility in Lombard, featuring a 24/7 drive-thru kiosk and improved customer service, according to an ABC 7 Chicago report.
The new location, the largest outside of Chicago, replaces an aging facility that experienced long wait times and overcrowding.
The facility boasts 30 customer service stations and a fully cross-trained staff to handle both driver and vehicle services. Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias emphasized the importance of this upgrade, stating the previous location was «frustrating» for both customers and employees.
The Lombard DMV also includes 18 EV charging stations.
