SNA Displays has launched ASTRO, a brightness monitoring suite.
SNA Displays has launched ASTRO, a brightness monitoring suite, according to a press release.
The tool is to be used as part of SNA Displays standard-offer services, and includes a range of brightness customization and control features.
The beta rollout is in its final stages, with ASTRO set for a general release in 2025.
The system leverages data including astronomical data, location, date, time and real-time weather analysis to adjust screen brightness according to user preferences.
«This software-as-a-service is key when putting displays in places that are sensitive to light pollution, such as near residential areas or locations with strict city ordinances, and we believe similar capabilities will eventually be added to city codes as a requirement for active brightness monitoring,» Stew Ives, VP of products and solutions at SNA Displays, said in the release. «We designed the ASTRO ecosystem of brightness management tools to take our service offerings to the next level.»
