Saeima introduces self-service kiosk for members, visitors

The Saeima, Latvia’s parliament, has opened a self-service food kiosk to cater to the needs of its members and visitors, according to a Baltic News Network report. The kiosk, which began operations on November 7, offers a variety of sandwiches, snacks and prepared meals.

«We are excited to offer this convenient solution for our members and visitors,» a Saeima official told the news outlet. «This kiosk will help to ensure that everyone has access to quality food and beverages.»

The kiosk’s menu includes a range of options, from light snacks to hearty meals, with sandwiches starting at around three euros. The Saeima plans to open a second kiosk in December.

This development comes after several failed attempts to secure a traditional catering service for the parliament building. The decision to opt for self-service kiosks was made to address the immediate need for food and beverage options.
