OnLogic recently launched its TM120 and TM710 solid state, compact fanless PCs, which come preloaded with ThinManager software. ThinManager software offer centralized thin client and remote server management, according to a press release.
With thin clients, the systems connect to a centralized server to get the apps, memory and data it needs, which is then delivered to a thin client device. Since thin clients have little onboard storage, no clients are named.
«Server-based computing provides a number of key benefits, particularly for organizations that need to support a large number of endpoints,» Mike Walsh, senior product manager at OnLogic, said in the release. «Centralized application deployment and updating can drastically reduce IT costs. In addition, businesses can reduce security exposure by limiting access to sensitive data and software. Finally, using thin and zero clients enables powerful computing resources to be deployed across a company’s infrastructure at a comparatively low cost.»
The TM120 has an Intel 11th Gen Core with 32-GB of memory and can support four displays. It also has an operating temperature range of 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit and comes with a DisplayPort, HDMI, two LAN, four USB-A, two USB-C and an optional COM.
The TM710 has an Intel Celeron J3455 CPU with 8-GB of memory and can support two displays with an operating temperature range of 32 to 104-degrees Fahrenheit. It comes with two MiniDisplay ports, two LAN, three USB-A, one USB 2.0 and a COM.
Customers can mount both systems via DIN rail, VESA or wall mount.
