A statewide computer glitch caused the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles’ services to come to a halt Thursday, as kiosks and web services were not working for several hours, according to a ktnv.com report.
Kevin Malone, a DMV spokesman, said the computers lost contact with the state server. While he was unsure of the cause, he said it was not malicious.
In-person services were eventually restored, but Malone was unsure when systems would be back online at the time of this report.
