Hikers at Glacier National Park in need of gear or a quick snack can get one at a vending machine installed by RightOnTrek, a retailer of hiking gear, according to a kpax.com report.
The Wilderness Edge — an automated gear rental machine located between the west entrance to Glacier National Park and Glacier International Airport in Columbia Falls, Montana — allows people to rent gear such as a backpack or buy a meal kit.
The guest selects an order using a touchscreen and pays with a credit card. Once the order is made, the appropriate locker will automatically open.
