Students at Torrey Pines High School in San Diego can get feminine health care products from a vending machine installed by a startup called Dotstash, according to a cbs8.com report. Other high schools in the area will also be getting the machines.
Company founder Mona Powell came up with the idea after facing difficulty finding menstrual products in public spaces.
In October, Gov. Newsom signed a law requiring all 6-12 schools, colleges and universities to offer free menstrual products on campuses by 2023.
