A Turin, Italy based software company called VADO (Vending Automatic Delivery Operations) has introduced an e-commerce solution that allows vending machines to sell products in delivery apps, according to the company’s website. The delivery apps include UberEats, Deliveroo, Glovo and Just Eat.

VADO creates a menu in the delivery apps for products in a connected vending machine. The customer has access to this menu in the delivery app and creates an order from a vending machine.

A delivery rider then receives the order and travels to the machine and uses the order code to prompt the machine to dispense the order. The machine supplies the product in a bag that the rider then delivers to the customer.

Vending operators can sell their products in the app by installing the VADO software.

VADO currently owns vending machines in four cities: Turin, Milan, Rome and Salerno, according to a report in innovationorigins.com, a European innovation news site. In addition, five customers have integrated VADO software into their vending machines.
