Students at Boston University will soon be able to buy emergency contraceptives at a vending machine in the basement of the school’s student union, according to a report in The Daily Free Press, a campus newspaper.

Boston University’s Students for Reproductive Freedom will unveil the University’s first emergency contraceptive vending machine next Tuesday in the basement of the George Sherman Union.

The machine will offer Plan B for $7.25, with additional products possibly added in the future.

Boston Planned Parenthood, the Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Center and BU Facilities have supported the project.

Plan B is also available for $25 at Student Health Services and for $40-50 at Planned Parenthood and local pharmacies.
